Spring Wedding at Morris Park Country Club, South Bend, Indiana

Weddings

Lindsey and John met at her cousin Brad’s high school graduation party in New Prairie. John also happened to go to that high school! It was a random encounter, but when a few weeks went by, John added Lindsey on Facebook and asked her to go to dinner and a movie. And, over this beautiful Memorial Day Weekend, several years later, they celebrated their Spring wedding at Morris Park Country Club.

Lindsey and John had a long distance relationship while they attended two different Loyola’s for college. They remained close while Lindsey was in Maryland and John was in Chicago. It was hard, but once Lindsey was accepted into Medical School at Loyola Chicago, they were able to start a life in the same city together! They enjoyed day tripping to nearby cities, visiting wineries and breweries, and hiking with their Akita pup, Kuma. They definitely had to manage busy schedules while Lindsey finished up her medical degree and John being in the military. But, they made sure to prioritize spending quality time together enjoying Chicago’s food scene and trying new places when they could.

THE PROPOSAL

John proposed on a day that was actually planned by a friend of theirs. She is a photographer and usually asked them for help modeling to expand her portfolio. She had asked if they had time to meet her at the beach in New Buffalo, MI. John thought this would be a great opportunity to propose and texted their friend separately and asked if they could turn the mock photo shoot into a real engagement! Lindsey, knowing that John doesn’t love volunteering for photo sessions, didn’t see it coming at all. And, while it was supposed to be multiple couples joining in for some photos, all of them fell through. It became a totally private, intimate session for just the two of them. Lindsey was completely shocked! And, now they have photos to remember it by.

I am so excited to finally say congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Trent! They were the first couple to book with me for 2023 weddings. I feel like I have become part of their family! It had been 2 years of planning and perfecting the absolute best wedding day and I am just so excited for them as Lindsey starts her residency in Ann Arbor and they become new home owners! I wish you two nothing but the best days ahead!
