Last weekend, we got to celebrate Alexandra and Dan at their black tie wedding at Saint Pius X Church in Granger, Indiana. The celebration followed with a big party at The Palais Royale, the wedding venue of Alexandra’s dreams since she was a little girl. It all came together so beautifully with the help of their parents and a team of amazing vendors on their side. It was the perfect day celebrating these two, who met by absolute fate.

HOW THEY MET

On November 8, 2018, Daniel and Alexandra were complete strangers. They had no idea that the next day they would meet their future. The night of November 9th, Alexandra went on her first Tinder date at a local bar in Oakley, Cincinnati. She was reluctant to go because it was her first “internet” date. But, with a little push from her mom, she went through with it. She should’ve known from the beginning that it wasn’t going to go well, when he told her that he sells caskets for a living. Alexandra was so desperate to abort the situation, that she texted her friend to get her out of it. Alexandra told her date she had to leave to take care of a friend. She left the bar discouraged and determined to never go on an internet date again.

Much to her surprise, the friend who picked her up mentioned that she had the perfect guy for Alexandra. Having just had a bad date, she was understandably hesitant, but decided that it was worth a shot. So they decided to meet up with some of their old Xavier teammates and went out on the town. They went to the only dance “club” that existed in Cincinnati, Galla Park, and hit the dance floor. Like a scene from a movie, Dan walked in, they locked eyes, and there was no turning back. They danced the night away and went on their first official date a week later!

THE PROPOSAL

July 15th started off with Alexandra and Dan having their morning coffee at their favorite local coffee shop. After, they decided to go play 9 holes of golf, which is something they love doing together. After golf, Dan surprised Alex with a gift card to get her nails done. This gesture tipped her off to the fact that he just might be proposing that weekend, but she didn’t know how! With her nails freshly painted, they enjoyed some wine at their favorite wine bar. As they awaited to go get dinner after, Dan surprised her with a helicopter ride that flew over all their favorite places in Cincinnati. Upon landing, Dan pulled Alexandra to the side, gave her a beautiful speech, and asked her to spend forever with him. Their families were waiting in the lobby afterwards, and they celebrated with dinner!
