Taylor and Luke | New Buffalo Beach Engagement Session, New Buffalo Wedding Photographers

Engagement

It all started in 2012 when Luke and Taylor met through mutual friends at Purdue. Taylor became friends with Luke’s sister, but eventually started date Luke about a year later. Almost instantly they both knew there was something special about the other. Something they never quite had in previous relationships, just something telling them that this was the one.

Throughout their relationship they were always there for each other and worked together as a team. And in February of this year they started something called “Therapy Thursday’s” where they would be with each other and just listen and be attentive to each other’s needs. On this first therapy Thursday, they talked about life, work, their relationship and future plans. At the end of their conversation, Taylor went to the bathroom to put a face mask on (the pre-COVID kind…), and came back to the living room where Luke was down on one knee. Luke had the ring for a little while, and he felt that in that moment it was the right time for him to ask Taylor to spend the rest of her life with him. They’re big fans of therapy Thursday’s after that and I have to say, this sounds like a great idea for every relationship!

So excited to share their engagement session and I am looking forward to their July wedding at the newly renovated Morris Park Country Club! It’s going to be such a party – and I can’t wait!
