Allison and Chris | Fall Morris Park Country Club Wedding, South Bend, Indiana

Weddings

It all started when Allison and her best friend went to Trivia Night at a bar in Osceola. They happened to sit down at the bar next to Chris. Chris shook Allison’s hand and she was immediately impressed by the gesture. Allison was getting ready to head to Clemson for grad school when she met Chris that night. The last question of the evening was “what is the most common gift given to couples at their wedding?” Chris and Allison (though on different teams) both gave the correct answer, toaster. Little did they know then, that they would be opening gifts from their wedding in a few years time, counting how many toasters they were given.

After that night, they began seeing each other at that same local bar and decided to start dating just a few days before she left for school. And they continued a long distance relationship for 2 years, 700 miles away from each other. They skyped often and every time they were talking – the time 11:11 often appeared. They stopped and made a wish together and felt that even though they were hundreds of miles apart they could share just this brief moment in time together. It has been something special for them for many years and on the 1, 111 day of them dating, Chris got down on one knee at the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool in Chicago’s Lincoln Park and asked Allison to marry him. And from their they started planning their dream wedding at Morris Park Country Club.

Chris has worked at the country club for many years and it only seemed fitting for them to plan their day in their favorite month of October on a beautiful golf course. It was a perfect fall day, partly cloudy, in the 60’s and the leaves were just starting to change. The burgundy, sage and sandalwood wedding colors lent themselves well to the setting. And under the trees, Chris and Allison said their I Do’s and later danced the night away with their family and friends. It was a beautiful day that we are so blessed to have been a part of!
