Bella and Jon met in June 2013 at Summer Of Service, a summer camp at Bethel College. They were young but they both instantly knew there was a strong connection. They had kept in touch after camp ended and started hanging out more and more, even though Bella wasn’t technically allowed to date at the time. There was a rule in the family that they couldn’t date until they were 18 and Bella was 16. But after her parents met him, they felt comfortable with the two of them hanging out and getting to know each other. Jon asked Bella to be his girlfriend a few weeks after they met at camp, she said YESSSS! and they have been the best of friends ever since. I mean, to me, you’d have to be completely in LOVE to willingly get up early and go hunting with your boyfriend. But that’s what she did. And they both take part in each others interests!

When Jon was ready to propose after years of dating, he got a group of friends together to go to an escape room with them. On the final step, they unlocked the box that held the key inside to exit the room – but there was NO key. Instead, a ring, and Jon asked her to be his wife and they started planning the wedding of their dreams. And the wedding of their dreams they got. It was a casual, fun, energetic and tear filled day. Surrounded by what was most important to them, God and their family and friends. They wanted to have an emphasis on their guests and made sure everyone had a great time. And with Jon being an outdoors man, the Homestead was the PERFECT choice of venues.

So excited for these two to start their married life together – can’t wait to see what the future holds for them!
