Okay – where do I even start with this blog post?! I have known Kila for at least 6 years now. I used to work part time with her mom at a tax office (I’m not naming names today). And we met through that! We traveled to many Vera Bradley shows in Fort Wayne and kept in touch. I got to photograph her gorgeous bestie’s wedding this past September (Shout out Ashley and Jordan!) And when Kila got engaged in November, she called me the very next day! We talked all about Nick’s proposal – talked about my available dates and venues that I loved in the Kalamazoo are since they both went to Western Michigan. Of course I said “LOFT 310!!!” and was just so excited for them and honored to get to capture their wedding day!

Their engagement session was so much fun. We walked around a foggy, semi drizzly Chicago and it made for some seriously beautiful photos at North Avenue Beach. We talked about their day, the vendors that they have booked and it got me even more excited to photograph their wedding day. Not only because I will get to work with some amazing vendors (shoutout to my girl Leah at LB Floristry) at an amazing venue, but I get to spend the day with these two and their families, capturing the most perfect day. I am so excited to share their engagement session with you (sorry it took so long…) and can’t wait for April when they become Mr. and Mrs. Elliott!!
