Megan and Jack’s white and baby blue wedding over Memorial Day weekend perfectly transitioned from spring to summer. Their celebration evoked new possibilities and the beginning of a bright and beautiful love story. Surrounded by loved ones in coordinating baby blue wedding attire and accents, the happy couple glowed amongst rows of white and baby blue florals and softly lit candles.
Their Love Story
Flashback to sophomore year of college. Megan and Jack first met while serving as senators for their respective residence halls in Notre Dame’s student government. However, Jack didn’t want to leave anything up to chance. Instead, he took advantage of his political connections and pulled some strings. As a result, he quietly secured the seat next to Megan’s at every meeting. What a wonderful coincidence, she thought!
The two hit it off over budget and policy discussions. Eventually, they made things official in their junior year. After graduation, the happy couple moved to the DC area to begin their careers. Then, on a quick trip over a beautiful Memorial Day weekend, Jack popped the question against the tranquil backdrop of a gorgeous lily pond. Of course, Megan said YES! Soon after, they began planning their baby blue wedding.
Baby Blue Wedding Details
Megan and Jack planned the most joyful and inviting celebration. Additionally, they incorporated subtle baby blue wedding details at every turn. These beautiful touches perfectly complemented Megan’s stunning white dress. Moreover, their gorgeous, soft floral centerpieces glowed with uplighting from candles below. When guests arrived, they found a basket of the bride’s late father’s favorite almond cookies greeting them at the entrance.
Following a series of heartfelt toasts, the couple shared a romantic first dance. Next came the sweetest cake cutting. Finally, Megan and Jack danced the night away with their most cherished friends and family.
Megan and Jack said “I do” in a classic ceremony at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. Afterward, they celebrated the beginning of their next chapter with a reception at Morris Inn. They took some time to settle into their new life together. Then, they whisked themselves away to a late-summer honeymoon in the French Riviera! Congratulations to the happy couple!
