Liz and Josh | The Morris Estate Wedding, Michigan Wedding Photographers

Weddings

I don’t know where to begin! When I first met Liz and Josh our meeting was almost 2 hours long. We just talked and talked and it felt like we knew each other for years. They are so warm and inviting, and their love absolutely radiated around them. They told me the story of their chance meeting – they unwittingly met on a random Tuesday night at Bonefish Grill. Liz was out with girlfriends celebrating a birthday, including the reverend who will married them! Josh was out with co-workers celebrating a milestone year of sales. Liz eyed Josh from across the bar, thinking he was attractive and wishing he would come talk to her instead of his rowdy co-workers. Josh also noticed Liz from across the bar, but was too shy and saw that Liz was surrounded by people. Eventually Liz ended up sitting at the table with Josh after his co-worker insisted they mingle. Later, he was also the one to make sure they had each others phone number (what a friend!!). Liz impressed Josh with her wit and he uncharacteristically asked Liz to go out with him on his birthday, the very next day. After that they continued to hang out and it turned into a beautiful love that you just can’t deny when you see them together.

Josh proposed on Christmas Eve 2018. Liz was totally surprised. Following a wild tale of popcorn stories with the fam, Josh sang one of Liz’ all-time favorite love songs (one she had been asking him to sing for months) while Liz’ mom played the piano. Josh and Liz danced in front of the fireplace as Josh serenaded her. Josh then got down on one knee and asked if Liz would allow him to show her how much he loves her for the rest of their lives. Liz was so shocked that it took several minutes for her to say ‘yes’. But she did and the family celebrated together.

And on Saturday, May 30th they made it official. They chose each other, forever, and committed to showing their love for each other for the rest of their days. It was a beautiful, intimate wedding, but we celebrated their love in such a BIG way. I am so thankful for these two trusting me with their most precious day and I just can’t wait to photograph their big party with family and friends in March! I know that the love will continue to radiate within them and I am so excited to see where the love takes them and I KNOW they are just happy as all get out!
