Styled Shoot

I am so excited to share with you all the styled shoot that I worked on at Morris Park Country Club! I had an idea of doing a boho styled wedding with rich colors but in a refined, elegant way. With the help of Elena at Morris Park, Kelsey at Burns Rentals and Polly at Poppies, we designed the day to give it a little bit of an eclectic look, but also refined to be elegant and upscale. And let me tell you I am just in love with the results!

I am so thankful for everyone who participated in this shoot to make it happen. It wouldn’t have been able to be what it was without all of these amazing people:

The Space: Morris Park Country Club
Elena was so generous to lend her helping had along the way and used her experience as a skilled wedding coordinator at Morris Park to help with planning, set up, tear down and contacting vendors. I cannot thank her enough for letting me use the space and her time in the busiest of seasons. She let me know we could go anywhere that we wanted to set up the shoot and she will do the same for all of her couples. Wherever you dream to say your i do’s she will make it happen for you!

The Florals: Poppies
Polly was SO generous to provide all the gorgeous florals for the day. The tables, the bouquet, the head piece, the arch, EVERYTHING! She took just 1 photo I had shared with her and created absolutely dreamy florals with it. And even when we had to reschedule because the rain – she didn’t bat an eye to do it all over again. She took my vision and created something better than I could imagine. She is just a joy to work with and anyone would be lucky to have her design their wedding flowers!

The Rentals: Burns Rentals
This certainly wouldn’t have been possible without Burns lending us all their amazing wedding decor to style the shoot. Their natural farm table was the perfect addition to our bohemian style. The Magnolia chairs went perfectly with the table and gave it a refined look (and comfortable!). Their plates, chargers and napkins brought everything together for the menus and place settings. And I absolutely love their navy antique water glasses. They were the perfect addition and pop of color to our table. Kelsey showed me so many table place settings in their design space and it was so great to be able to see everything laid out instead of having to imagine what it would look like. I always recommend Burns because their bridal experience can’t be beat. If you are a visual person and need to see your wedding decor before committing, schedule a meeting with the ladies there – they will make your wedding dreams come to life!

The Hair: Beauty and Bliss
Andrea at Beauty and Bliss is always my go to when someone asks for a hair stylist on their wedding day. Not only is she so laid back and fun to work with, but she is EXTREMELY talented with wedding hair. I can’t even begin to thank her for stepping in after having a new babe to do Nola’s hair for this. It turned out so perfectly and it lasted through the extremely high winds, rain then extreme heat and humidity. (We had it all that day!) So I know you’re always in good hands with Andrea!

The Makeup: Makeup By Keria
A HUGE thank you to Chelsea for stepping in the last minute to do the makeup for us that day. We had to change the date last minute of the shoot and she was able to step up and help out. Chelsea is also another one I always recommend to brides, especially those looking for natural enhancement on their wedding day. She knocks it out of the park all the time and the makeup lasts ALL DAY LONG. She is so sweet and so much fun to work with. And the makeup she did on Nola made her gorgeous green eyes just POP. She books fast y’all so run don’t walk!

The Cakes: Sweet Em’s Cake Shoppe and C’est La Vie Cakes
Yes we had 2 cakes! Why not have 2 cakes when designing a dream shoot? Mostly because we just love working with both of these ladies and wanted to include them both! And also because signals got a little crossed when rescheduling the shoot. But we are so happy they were both willing to help create dream cakes for us and be a part of the shoot! Emily did the gorgeous burgundy topped cake that looked so vibrant and went with the shoot so well and Courtney at C’est La Vie did the gold leaf cake, which is just about my favorite thing on a cake ever! Both of these ladies will serve you well and I can’t recommend them enough!

The Stationery: Twig and Juniper
So this is a little known secret – I also run and design a wedding stationery shop called Twig and Juniper on Etsy. I designed some deckled edge menus and invitations that are so popular right now. I tied the menus with a velvet burgundy ribbon and it just took the tables to another level. I also decided to hand letter some apples for place settings – because FALL! And because it is a current trend right now! It was so much fun designing these custom items for the styled shoot and I would absolutely love to help you create your dream invites and day of needs. We can letter on just about anything. I want to turn your dream into a reality!

The Dress: Simply Yours Bridal
I cannot thank the ladies over at Simply Yours more. They lent us a gorgeous dress by Stella York, a beautiful flower girl dress and all the accessories to style our model as we wanted. Nola and Elena went in to try on dresses and pick the perfect gown for the shoot and it was absolutely PERFECT. Their shop is SO cute, I wanted to spend the day playing dress up when I went to pick up the dress. So much lace, sparkle, tulle, and chiffon I was in heaven! Located in Granger, it is the perfect place to get an upscale, designer experience without the hassle of going into a major city. And they have bridesmaids dresses!!

Our Models: Nola Wallace (Bride) and Savannah (Flower Fairy)
I absolutely couldn’t have done this without our gorgeous model Nola. She was so kind to give us her day to get dolled up and walk around in a wedding dress. She was a dream to work with, and I told her about 1038485 times how gorgeous she is! I hope to work with her again in the future, because girl made my job SO easy. THANK YOU NOLA!!
And the beautiful Savannah, Polly’s granddaughter, she is just the sweetest and let me style her the way I wanted. Polly had a vision of a little flower fairy running around the garden and she nailed it! So thankful for her taking her afternoon after school to walk around with us!

So THANK YOU all so much. I am so happy with these and I can’t wait to get them shared even more! So I hope you all enjoy the design and photos as much as I do – it was an absolutely dreamy day!
