Colorful Wedding at Notre Dame and Morris Park Country Club

Kate and Mark celebrated their union with a colorful wedding at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart Notre Dame and Morris Park Country Club. Their floral arrangements burst with pastel stems in every color. The dance floor glowed above an array of vivid uplights. Their shared glances radiated pure joy as they danced late into the night. The Love Story

As freshmen at Notre Dame, the two developed a close friendship after Mark asked Kate to be his Confirmation sponsor. Spending their Sundays together made the two realize they would be in each other’s lives long-term. While everyone else knew they would end up together, it took Kate a bit longer to realize her true feelings! After a summer talking over the phone with a meet-up in Minnesota, the two finally made things official at the start of their sophomore year. Six years later, Mark surprised Kate with a proposal at Notre Dame where they shared their first kiss. He hired a photographer to capture the moment and arranged for both families to be in town to celebrate afterwards. Like her initial feelings for Mark, Kate was totally surprised!

Colorful Wedding Details

From a classically charming ceremony at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart Notre Dame, to joyful portraits on the green, to a dazzling dance party reception at Morris Park Country Club, Kate and Mark’s colorful wedding had it all! She wore a captivating gown with an asymmetrical neckline, a sweeping bow, and a trailing veil with scalloped edges. He wore an elegant black tux with a boutonniere which perfectly complemented her bouquet. After a series of tearful speeches and time-honored dances, Kate changed into a white mini dress with playful fringe around the hem and comfy tennis shoes. All the better for dancing the night away!
