Mo and Chris said “I do” on a gorgeous spring afternoon at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at the University of Notre Dame. There are very few places in the world that can match the Basilica. Because of its sheer beauty during a wedding ceremony, and this one did not disappoint. Soft light came through the stained glass, the florals were lush in pink and white. And the whole ceremony had that quality of feeling both deeply sacred and completely personal to them.
THE LOVE STORY
Mo and Chris’s story started with a swipe on Hinge, which I love, because their whole relationship has this wonderfully grounded, real quality to it. It grew into something rooted in laughter and genuine adventure together. Chris proposed at his family’s vacation home on Rosemary Beach, which sounds like the most perfect setting, and after five years of building a life together they were ready to make it official in the most beautiful way they could think of.
SPRING WEDDING AT NOTRE DAME DETAILS
The reception was held just steps away at the Morris Inn, in the Smith Ballroom. The design was striking, black and blush pink with gold-touched table settings. The luscious floral arrangements in pink, white, and green were show stopping. The reception was elegant and fun, perfect for these two. The band kept the dance floor full all night, and the desserts from Macri’s Bakery and Three Leaf were incredible. And because of all of this, you could hear guests chatter about how amazing this wedding was all evening long.
It was a really beautiful spring wedding at Notre Dame, and one I’ll think about for a long time.
